A restaurant we’d return to for the aesthetics alone, Somewhere truly stands out among the Marina Mall restaurants. As you step inside, you’re transported: greeted with stylish decor that effortlessly blends luxe touches reminiscent of your favourite travels. The ‘outdoor’ seating is punctuated with actual palm trees under the glass atrium, while warm lighting and comfortable seats you can sink into create a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal with friends.

Their breakfast menu is a highlight: featuring a mouthwatering array of options,  try their Wagyu baajine, the moreish Sabanekh scramble or some classic sweet breakfasts with Arabic twists. Lunch and dinner won’t disappoint either - we love the lentils and sweet potato (simple but delicious), tasty baos and the towering beef shawarma beetroot rice. Vegetarians will find plenty to choose from, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Make sure you give this one a whirl if you haven’t already - they have popular outposts in Dubai, London, Saudi Arabia and Yas Mall, and it’s a gem amongst the Marina Mall restaurants.

Opened at the start of 2025, they’re serving up everything from sushi to Australian wagyu yakitori - who doesn’t love a great steak grill? We also rate the Chilean seabass, accompanied by a cheeky mocktail so you can kick back and enjoy the chic Japanese vibe. 

Definitely worth a look-in if you’re up that end of town, it's the ideal spot to refuel and enjoy some quality Japanese cuisine - you’ll forget you're in the mall! And don’t forget to save room for dessert: their matcha cheesecake is the ideal sweet-but-not-too-sweet note to end on.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, a Madeleine milkshake - full of ice cream, Madeleine biscuits and salted caramel sauce - will hit the spot.
