TASHA'S, KHALIFA CITY
EGYPTIAN
Safa Harris, 17 January 2025
From the list of awesome suggestions that the group members provided, we decided to try Tasha as it was just walkable distance from us.
I did have a little difficulty in calling ahead and reserving seats due to communication problem, but was successful in the end.
There is parking within the building facility, We need to get the ticket stamped in the end.
The restaurant was very cosy with friendly servers.
We ordered Baladi Salad, 1kg mix grill, half kg ribs, Koshari Chicken Shawerma, Margerita Pizza. Though we had asked to cancel Fattoush Salad, they did not. But, that was overlooked as it tasted amazing. We felt, we should have cancelled Baladi salad instead. Koshari was a hit with its tangy and sweet sauce flavour.
Overall, the food was amazing and filling. Very happy.
The difference we found was, there were no arayes, bread and hommous provided along with the mix grill which is what we had continuously experienced with other restaurants. All were charged separately.
The bill came around to AED 400 for 6 adults.
Highly recommend.
ANTONIA CHIC, THE GALLERIA AL MARYAH
ITALIAN BRUNCH

An Unforgettable Saturday Brunch Experience Antonia Antonia Chic- Galleria Mall
It's a long review but worth it
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a remarkable brunch experience at a local gem that offers an extravagant brunch every Saturday from 12 PM to 3 PM. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an inviting ambiance that perfectly blended elegance with a relaxed vibe, setting the stage for a memorable meal
Upon entering, I was immediately drawn to the buffet counter brimming with an array of antipasti that would make any food lover swoon. The selection featured an impressive variety of artisanal cheeses and perfectly cured cold cuts — each bite was a testament to the quality and craftsmanship behind Italian culinary traditions. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and I found myself returning for seconds (and thirds) as I explored the delightful combinations
Next up was the star of the show: the Italian pizza selection. Each pizza was crafted using a unique 72-hour fermented dough, resulting in a crust that was airy, light, and packed with flavor. The toppings were thoughtfully curated, showcasing classic and innovative combinations catering to every palate. Whether I opted for a traditional Margherita or something more adventurous, each slice was a slice of heaven
As if that wasn't enough, the brunch experience featured delicious mains served directly at our table. The dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Italian flavors, leaving me craving more.
Dessert is simply unlimited tiramisu, the best by far and approved by my picky wife
The atmosphere was elevated by the presence of a live DJ, making it an ideal spot for both intimate gatherings and celebratory outings. The combination of great food, music, and the vibrant atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience
The service throughout the brunch was outstanding. The Italian staff was super friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. This level of service is often hard to come by, especially at such a bargain price for the high-quality offerings available 295 AED
In terms of value, this brunch is a true steal. It felt like an easy fine dining concept where luxury met accessibility, allowing everyone to enjoy a slice of Italy without breaking the bank
In conclusion, my Saturday brunch experience was nothing short of spectacular. I left with a full belly and a happy heart, eagerly looking forward to my next visit. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing brunch. You won’t regret it!

CIRCLE CAFE, MANGROVE VILLAGE
BREAKFAST
Helen Morris, 16 January 2025
12th birthday breakfast
Firm favourite at Circle Cafe - I have reviewed this place before but it just never fails to be good!
We come back for the service (and coffee). Staff are always so welcoming, love interacting with our kids and genuinely look like they are happy to see us. When you are away from home as often as we are that makes a difference.
Food is always good and great value for money. All you can eat breakfast is 69dhs for adults and 35dhs for kids and this includes drinks. Portions are slightly smaller than an adults portion (which I love) but staff are quick and happy to bring an actual ‘all you can eat’ number of servings. I usually feel uncomfortable with the amount of waste that sometimes happens with this type of offer but Circle have a really good balance which works.
Just a great place to eat and socialise.
LADERACH, BAWABAT AL SHARQ MALL
Rachael White, 13 January 2025
Quick coffee stop with my friend in Bawabat Al Sharq Mall at Läderach and were tempted by the pistachio kunafa crepe and oh my word we were not disappointed in the slightest.
Definitely a sharer unless you have a huge sweet tooth but the flavour was outstanding.
I had a lovely latte and my friend a matcha latte with coconut milk which was also made to her liking and tasted amazing.
Great service, nothing was too much trouble and would highly recommend
HAWKSBILL, SAADIYAT BEACH GOLF CLUB
BREAKFAST
Allan Gunn, 18 January 2025
Well what a great wee impromptu brekkie this morning (also Yas links since you got rid of hickory’s we didn’t go there today).
Great portions for the pricing, good service by the team on a very busy Saturday morning.
Imi had the royale minus the hollandaise sauce and I stupidly went for 2 bacon and egg baps (finished them though - just)
Only thing missing was a BB offer!

TAPARELLE, MANARAT AL SAADIYAT
BREAKFAST
Rachael Partington, 19 January 2025
Bored with your usual breakfast spots? Taparelle does breakfast with a French twist every day from 7.30AM - and the food is interesting, fresh and beautiful.
Choose a bread or salad, eggs and an extra for AED65 or order stand-alone items.
We loved the omelette, the tartines (especially the burrata pesto tomatoes!) (AED45) and the house made brioche and croissant with home made jam! And for a splurge, the French toast (AED42) was incredible. Side note: coffee was only AED20!
It’s lovely in the garden under the trees and there’s a little lawn for kids to play on.
We loved it!

MARMELLATA, MINA
DINNER
Sarah Simes, 19 January 2025
The pizza is very good with unusual flavour combinations which makes it interesting. We liked the gorgonzola, fig and pistachio the most but the pepperoni and honey was a close second. There was a choice of 4 pizzas, some focaccia which looked good but we didn’t try. The line was long from the moment it opened and we didn’t get a table but there is plenty of space in the area to have a picnic and there’s a nice children’s park there too.
