Brunching at ‘the Ritz’ has always been part of Abu Dhabi brunch folklore - it’s a really iconic thing to do. What makes it so special? Giornotte’s strength is in its food, which is pretty extraordinary.  There’s something for everyone: they cater very well to dietary restrictions and preferences, having a decent vegan section and equally, an extremely strong meat game! The carvery, complete with quality vegetables, is a must-try, as is the Beef Wellington - this is nothing short of outstanding! Seafood is a highlight: lobster, oysters, crab and prawns … the list goes on. For those who prefer more of a street food vibe, pick yourself up a burger or a taco, a slice of gorgeous pizza or a pasta dish cooked to order. 

Lovers of dessert won’t be disappointed: the variety and quality are beyond tempting. And for those who prefer to end on something not quite so sweet, the cheese selection is masterful! 

There’s live music and is absolutely lovely in cooler weather out on the lawn, bringing a part chilled, part party vibe. Be sure to get a picture on the best staircase in Abu Dhabi - that’s one for the ‘gram for sure!

JUMEIRAH SAADIYAT ISLAND

‍White brunch offers one of the best experiences for true foodies in Abu Dhabi - and there’s something to cater to every taste. With highlights like an exceptional sushi section, some dedicated to vegetable maki alone, absolutely incredible prime rib and roast lamb, sliders and burgers, a pani puri station and excellent seafood, it’s hard not to be pleased.  Desserts are a triumph, boasting the best brunch dessert quality in town - a side trip to the chocolate table is a must! 

‍Drinks are also good and come quickly: there are cocktails and mocktails on the menu as well as three types of wine, beer and spirits with mixers - and the Champagne is Moet et Chandon, for those who can't say they're at Abu Dhabi's best brunch unless the bubbles are top quality!

The ambiance is as great inside as out, and a kids area great for 3-9 year olds, a 3-piece band and the spinning prize wheel make for a fun afternoon out.

CONRAD ABU DHABI ETIHAD TOWERS

A perennial favourite, brunch at Nahaam is really having a moment! The vibe starts the minute you walk in - take a drink and snap a pic with the wall of welcome drinks as your backdrop, and sashay on through to the stylings of the most energetic performer in Abu Dhabi, Marvin Lee Presens.

Food is high end: we recommend the carvery with some excellent Yorkshire puddings, the excellent sushi and the superb pasta station along with some gorgeous desserts - the cheesecake is absolutely divine, but be warned, it disappears quickly! Be sure to catch the ice-cream trolley as it rolls by - top yours with Kahlua or sprinkles, depending on your jam!

Drinks are good - the accommodating staff make you whatever cocktails you fancy, mocktails are offered in abundance, while the Champagne is Perrier-Jouet. 

This brunch is at its glorious best and is the favourite of so many of Abu Dhabi’s  die-hard brunchers!

Barbossa's already has a well-deserved reputation as being the place to go for great drinks and superb nights out in Abu Dhabi and now it can add the title of 'Abu Dhabi's best party brunch' to that list! Expect good food and a relaxed, happy, party atmosphere which makes it impossible not to have a boatload of fun.

Prepare for a load of casual Mexican food: there's a great range of starters with everything from outstanding birria tacos with pulled beef, a superbly balanced avocado mango salad and really good flautas. The crispy fried chicken main is very good, the excellent rib-eye fajitas are a stand-out and the tacos also great. Finish this food fest with hot-off-the-press churros with an excellent dulce de leche.

Perhaps the best thing about Barbossa brunch is the playlist, which is choc full of all the 80s and 90s classics from R&B to a bit of rock and tons of pop. This is best enjoyed with cocktails including a great Paloma twist, the espresso martini-esque Carajillo and a lovely spiced apple mojito. To ramp up the fun, there are congas, set dances (we half-expect everyone to get down on the floor and do Rock The Boat!) and dancers who get people up and shaking, doing the limbo under the feather boa while people shed their inhibitions and have a blast.

MARKET BRUNCH AT SIM SIM -returns 19th October 2024

This brunch has the biggest range of food of any Abu Dhabi brunch and you'd be hard-pressed not to find something that delights you.

Carvery meats? Tons of options. Short rib and beef Wellington? Superb. Get your meat from the butchery counter and head outside to have it grilled to order by the grill masters. From the sea, the massive tuna, cut to serve is the Sim Sim party piece … swiftly followed by the smashing grill, getting your lobster done! If you love fish, the DIY ceviche counter is a must - but get a couple of different options to save you going up again!

Head to one of the numerous drinks stands outside for a great range of spirits, beer and wine, or get the premium package and enjoy Moet et Chandon - it's totally worth it! Enjoy the excellent live band, which will get your feet tapping before you know it and settle in to spend some time cruising between food stations at your leisure. We recommend you nab a seat outside under the trees - making for a great way to spend your Saturday.

There are so many great food options from a great seafood selection including oysters, seafood and fish, a big grill area where you can get roast lamb or chicken, grab tomahawk or choose your own steak to be cooked a la minute, an incredible Japanese station - don't miss the wagyu, sushi and exquisite desserts. The drinks package includes cocktails - and none come up short in terms of taste and interest!
