Dubai Marina is one of the hottest spots in Dubai: best known for The Beach at JBR (full of sandy holiday-esque patches and al fresco dining), Dubai Marina Walk - with its upmarket cafes lining the waterside promenade - and Dubai Marina Mall’s luxury destination shopping. Enjoy a spot of people - and bling - spotting as yachts cruise through the marina, or try your hand at some of the many watersports on offer.

ATTIKO 

W HOTEL DUBAI | DUBAI MARINA

Found on the rooftop of the W hotel in Dubai Marina is Attiko, a supper club venue offering Asian food and good vibes with a DJ and live music. The perfect spot to watch the sunset, there are amazing views of the Palm, Bluewaters and JBR from their large terrace. The menu focuses on small Asian plates such as sushi and gyoza and it’s great quality. Don’t skip cocktails: their sizable menu has something for everyone. Savvy patrons can try them for less with Sunset Society: every Monday - Thursday from 5 -7PM, a range of cocktails are only AED55, including our favourite Shimizu Fuzzy.

ASIA ASIA 

PIER 7 | DUBAI MARINA 

Located in the heart of Pier 7, Asia Asia has it all. Stunning views of the marina, delicious Asian cuisine and a buzzing atmosphere. This award-winning restaurant is inspired by the Spice Route and offers dim sum, bao and a large selection of sushi. Can’t decide what to have? Try their tasting menu for AED495 which includes all the most popular dishes, like the glazed black cod and the wagyu tenderloin. There’s lots going on throughout the week, too. Their popular Go Geisha ladies night and the Spice Route brunch on Saturdays always draw a crowd and the ambiance is fab. It’s not the cheapest option in the area but you won’t be disappointed.

BISTRO DE ARTS

MARINA MALL | MARINA PROMENADE 

A casual French bistro overlooking the waters of the marina, Bistro De Arts offers traditional Parisian cuisine from breakfast right through to late night bites. It’s got a brilliant view - and a large terrace to enjoy it from! Prices aren’t cheap but portion sizes are generous and the menu has lots to offer - we love the moules frites and the burrata. With plenty of deals to be had throughout the week, from business lunches to ladies night and even a fondue evening, it’s always a strong option for visitors and residents alike.

ZAROOB

RADISSON BLU RESIDENCE | DUBAI MARINA 

This bright and colourful cafe serves fantastic Levantine food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Watch your food being prepared in the large open kitchen - which always adds to the anticipation of a great meal. The menu has all the classics you would expect from a Levant restaurant: manakeesh, hummus and soujouk to name a few. We love their villager’s breakfast tray, which is a great way to dig into a range of dishes such as labneh, eggplant makdous and za’tar crackers, all served as small plates. A great alternative place to try for good, fresh food in a vibrant venue.

MAMA ZONIA

Another offering from Pier 7, Mama Zonia transports you from the desert to the jungle with its lush green interior. The menu is Latin-American and offers everything from poke bowls to sushi and other specialties. Our highlights from the a la carte menu? The tuna maki roll and the black Angus steak. Happy Hour timings are generous - 4PM - 8PM Monday to Saturday and 1PM - 12AM on Sunday - and serves up a large range of beer, wine and cocktails for only AED30 - an absolute bargain!

THE BLACKSMITH BAR & EATERY 

THE FIRST COLLECTION | DUBAI MARINA

The Blacksmith Bar & Eatery offers smokehouse cuisine, a pub atmosphere, and live sports. They have a big terrace and regular live music which adds to the vibrant feel. As you’d expect there’s a large selection of meat on the menu - opt for their sharing platters to enjoy a range of food without too many difficult choices. We particularly like their pulled brisket nachos to share (or not!) and the sliders from the starter menu really hit the spot. Happy Hour runs daily from 2PM - 8PM and drinks start from AED25 - but their normal drink prices are reasonable if you miss it.
