This popular spot in Damac Hills offers an impressive spread of traditional Arabic dishes and a range of delicious Ramadan juices. Whilst the highlight of this iftar is the Middle Eastern offerings, they also have a range of classic international dishes if that’s what takes your fancy. There’s a lovely ambience with a live oud player every evening which adds to the welcoming and spiritual atmosphere. It’s reasonably priced making this a breaking of the fast you might visit more than once this Holy Month.

If you’re looking for an iftar to impress, head to Radisson Blu hotel by Deira creek. With an incredible 200 dishes on offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice! Taking place under glowing lanterns and with a live oud player, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a traditional iftar with family and friends. Continuing until 9.30PM it’s one of the later iftars in the city - great if you want to stay longer (you’ll need it if you’re trying all 200 dishes!).

If you’re looking for a unique iftar then head to Expo City at sunset during Ramadan for a memorable evening. IFTAR IN THE DESERT

AL MAHA, A LUXURY COLLECTION DESERT RESORT AND SPA

For the absolute best way to break your fast, this iftar in the desert is a once-in-a-Ramadan experience.  As the sun sets, a small number of guests are transported from the Al Maha entrance to the secluded dining site, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. 

Follow the sound of the oud to the beautiful dining area, where you’re invited to break your fast with dates, juices and freshly cut fruit, swiftly followed by rich lentil soup and cold mezze.  The main course is delicious:  succulent lamb kofta and shish tawook kebabs, complemented by Mahi Mahi with saffron and lime sauce, for anyone who prefers fish over meat.
