BRUNCHISSIMO | MARE MARE
Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort
One of Abu Dhabi’s best Sunday brunches, Brunchissimo is as delicious as it sounds. The vibe is island-relaxed and the sultry musical duo ensures you feel it from the moment you walk in.
Expect the best of Italian food. Start in style with a delicious beef carpaccio, arancini, and the rich tones of a very good parmigiana, with layers of eggplant sandwiched together with a rich tomato/basil sauce and a smattering of parmigiano Reggiano.
Chef Giuseppe makes an appearance to dish out some welcome slices of diavola and margherita pizza and then move onto mains. We love the pasta which changes regularly, the veal Milanese, and a lovely light seabass with fresh, new potatoes and a good tomato sauce on the side. Don’t forget the cannoli for dessert!
There are 3 alcohol packages available: one includes the spritz trolley which also dishes out Campari, lychee and Hugo spritzes - while the beer, wine and spirits are part of the house package.
This is a deliciously chilled way to spend Sunday afternoon - the views of the blue, blue sea alone make it worthwhile. Brunchissimo, bellissimo!

The menu is casual and fun: tacos, salads, nachos and sliders with fruit salad or mousse to finish, all presented with beautiful Hilton flair. The drinks menu has something for everyone with spritz cocktails, 2 mocktails, 3 different wine and beer options. This is a perfect Sunday afternooner and we’re here for it!

LA VIE EN ROSE BRUNCH | LA PETITE MAISON
The Galleria Al Maryah
If you’re a foodie who loves Mediterranean food and good wine, La Vie En Rosé brunch is the Sunday brunch for you: it’s a table serviced, gastronomic delight, with possibly the best brunch drinks around.
Start with a glass poured from a huge, specially curated bottle of rosé and went straight to the thoughtfully put together cocktails and mocktails - don’t go past the virgin Mary, delicious!
Starters are unlimited: we double down on the sublime burrata and the yellowtail carpaccio and escargot (what makes these the best in town? it’s that parmesan!) but be sure to pace yourself for mains.
The sea bream, coated in a very subtle pesto is just so good and refreshingly light, and our other favourite is the lamb cutlets, cooked to your preferred temperature.
Order all four desserts on offer - have zero regrets and no apologies when you finish them all. The crème brûlée at LPM is a treat - crusted to perfection and the richest, creamiest vanilla crème, the signature cheesecake which has long held our top spot in town, and the rich, warm chocolate mousse - all amazing.
This brunch has a fabulous vibe and as the weather cools, sitting outside on the terrace is a great option. Inside, we love the jazzy music and the hustle and bustle of the chefs and floor staff. In short, it’s excellent and we can’t recommend it enough.

RACLETTE BRASSERIE BRUNCH
Mamsha al Saadiyat
Sunday brunch at Raclette is always great, but particularly amazing at this time of year, when you get to sit outside and watch the world go by. Food is plentiful and of a high standard but it is essential to have a plan …
There are 10 options to choose from before you even get to your main, and you could easily peak too soon and fall into the trap of over-indulgence because the offerings are that good. The burrata French toast is a triumph as is the absolutely luscious baked Camembert which also makes an appearance at Raclette’s wine and cheese night. The shrimp beignets are also so very good!
The striploin main is a favourite and always comes cooked to perfection. The tarte tatin and the eclair for dessert provide a strong finish.
Service is good: glasses are regularly topped up and food explained well by knowledgeable staff - what more could you want for a Sunday afternoon?

Le Royal Meridien
Are you a fan of casual Italian food and do you enjoy a restaurant with an upmarket feel without a trace of pretentiousness? Amalfi offers exactly this. It’s a comfortable space, good for families and will be even better in the cooler weather when sitting outside on the terrace is an option.
The Sunday table brunch is a relaxed affair and includes pizza, pasta - in both cases, options change regularly, chicken saltimbocca, seafood and of course tiramisu and gelato to finish.
It’s a great way to spend a casual afternoon with friends or family.

SUNDAY ROAST | BROADWAY BAR & BRASSERIE
EMIRATES PALACE MANDARIN ORIENTAL
When is a roast not a roast? When it’s something so absolutely outstanding that it feels almost wrong to lump it into the category of what you might get at a run-of-the-mill pub! But what makes Broadway’s roast stand out? Broadway's decor lends itself to Sunday roast. The leather interiors and exposed brickwork, the open bar, and tons of greenery and warm lighting give this space a cosy, cool vibe and after a couple of excellent drinks had been ordered from the very knowledgeable staff, we settled in.
At Broadway, you don’t just get a plate of roast plonked down in front of you: the Sunday Roast includes sharing starters, a choice of main, a dessert and free-flowing drinks from 12.30-5.30 - and it’s excellent value-for-money.
Starters might be light but must not be underestimated: the cauliflower salad especially is an excellent dish, and oyster overs will love the plump saltiness of the Find de Claire oysters. For the main event, take your pick from roasted sea bream, spiced roasted cauliflower, sirloin of beef, lamb shoulder, or corn-fed chicken as well as a large side of vegetables. These are exceptional dishes - the roast lamb was probably our favourite but the beef and chicken are also unbelievably good. Save room for the tart tatin: the sweet apples and sticky caramel over layers of pastry, foiled by the tartness of the sour cream ice cream was the perfect ending to this incredible meal.
The Sunday Roast at Broadway is, in our opinion, the best roast offering in Abu Dhabi. There’s a lot of food and the drinks are fabulous and include draught beer, French wine, cocktails and mocktails. Cancel all other afternoon plans: this is one to be savoured.
Timing: 12.30-5.30 every Sunday
Pricing: AED295 soft (including mocktails) | AED395 house | AED 595 Champagne
Kids menu available: AED90
