Monica Bakes Fall Box: Desserts To Warm The Soul

Every year, it's Monica's fall box that really spells the beginning of 'the season' in Abu Dhabi and I'm here for it in all its spicy pumpkin-y glory!

It's a big box, with some guaranteed deliciousness. My favourite things are the massive slab of pumpkin spiced cheesecake, both creamy and dreamy, and the spiced apple pie bar - apple is so rarely seen here and it's so good!

The box also has cupcakes - decadent! - and a massive smores cookie, which oozes marshmallow and chocolate when it's warm. We really enjoyed the pumpkin pie (best cold) and the very interesting pumpkin spiced tiramisu (purists, look away!). This doesn't taste of pumpkin per se, but gives a depth to the traditional tiramisu coffee taste.

We love the boxes of minis: a slidey box full of bite-ish sized craquelin cream puffs bursting with spiced pumpkin cream, and a separate slidey box with mini pumpkin chocolate chip and chai spiced cookies - the box also has 4 cream puffs and 2 cookies. These have 'I'm not leaving the couch and I need a treat' written all over them! Also in season, is the absolutely glorious pumpkin spiced crumble muffin with a crunchy vanilla glaze - soooo goooood!

This is perfect treat food if you're going out and need to take something, for an office shout or a night in, to get into the autumn mood!
