CAFE 302

AL MAHA ARJAAN

If a great deal is top of your priority list, you'll love this. For AED75, they offer 4 tray variations: the Full English, the Lifestyle, the Local, and the very vegan Sunshine. On our magic tray, (the Full English) we got a fruit salad, baked beans, sausages, beef bacon, hash browns, eggs whichever way you'd like (omelette) and a bread/pastry basket with condiments. Phew! It's a lot of food and will probably keep you full until evening!

Even without the deal, Cafe 302 isn’t expensive and this being the case, you must get the pancakes. These are thick and fluffy and come with a good amount of maple syrup, to be generously poured on every available pancake surface!

There are tons of options for vegans and good pastries and coffee, none of which costs the earth, making Cafe 302 your mid-week or weekend breakfast go-to - and one of the best breakfast deals in Abu Dhabi.

Breakfast tray deal available: every day, 10.30AM - 1PM

Tray price: AED75

MAZAJ BAB AL BAHR

FAIRMONT BAB AL BAHR

If you’re chasing a relaxed atmosphere with views to boot, this is the breakfast for you. Specialising in Mediterranean cuisine with hints of local flair, Mazaj Bab Al Bahr leans more into that ‘local flair’ at breakfast time, serving up a hearty menu brimming with traditional Lebanese, Turkish & Emirati breakfast favourites. It’s really well priced for the quality - and quantity of food: for AED89 per person, you can enjoy your breakfast along with fresh juice, tea, and coffee.

Take a seat in the beach garden overlooking the water of Khor Al Maqta and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - a perfect restaurant to take your visitors - or if you prefer an indoor table, the lounge is filled with an antiques collection to add some charm.

Timing: daily from 8.30AM to 12 PM

Pricing: AED89 per person with fresh juice, tea and coffee

ANTONIA TRATTORIA

AL ZEINA

Once again, the team at Antonia has excelled themselves - this breakfast offering is  superb.  Go for the gorgeous calorie busting bomba, stuffed with custard and rolled in sugar - what a way to start the day - or the light and sweet doughnut-with-a-hole, ciambella.  (AED25)

If pastries aren't your jam, the egg dishes don’t disappoint: the fiery red padella holds 2 eggs, bacon, tomatoes sliced with breadcrumbs, the most divine little sausages and best of all, superb, well-seasoned little potatoes (AED65). We also loved the eggs al tegamino, which we might quietly say is Antonia's answer to shakshuka. This dish made for sharing sees poached eggs in a gorgeous, herby Italian sauce, served hot and bubbling from the oven and ready to be scooped up by the accompanying focaccia. (AED45) - amazing value and very filling! Finally, the scrambled eggs are excellent. They come on a properly toasted, crusty slice of bread on a layer of ricotta and generously topped with crispy pancetta. (AED42)

This is one of the best breakfast options  in Abu Dhabi and we think, it’s worth a trip to Al Zeina for.

DRVN

MARSANA, HUDAYRIAT

DRVN at Marsana means a lot of things: a view of the marina and the beach, a place for little kids to have a run around or kick a ball, a spark of interest for petrolheads with a new car sitting in the middle of the restaurant to be envied, photographed and ogled over, and good, satisfying breakfast dishes.

The perennial favourite is the acai bowl, well put together with peanut butter, fresh berries, granola, chia seeds and coconut flakes- super healthy and a great kick start to the day.

The full English is good, with eggs, sausages, beef bacon, baked beans and hash browns, while the eggs Benedict is a classic done well.

If you fancy something sweet,  the buttermilk pancakes are an amazing option, and if you feel like something really sweet, get the Nutella version!

The 15% BB+ discount makes this a fairly decent price and it’s always a very nice, relaxed place to start your day.

CYAN BRASSERIE

ANDAZ CAPITAL GATE

This fabulous unlimited deal definitely ticks the box of an Abu Dhabi breakfast with a view. The fact that you can see for miles and miles and the decor in the restaurant is so beautiful makes this a great option for a breakfast celebration  too.

There’s a small but perfectly formed buffet with pastries, hot dishes and a great cinnamon rolls dish.  Ask your server for made-to-order hash browns, pancakes, waffles, French toast and eggs Benedict. The star of the show is the French toast - crispy in all the right places and soft and pliant in the centre. Perfect!

Included in this great deal are hot beverages (dairy alternatives like almond, coconut, and oat milk are available - bonus!) and the fresh juice corner is an added healthy part of the breakfast,

The best part of this offer is that it runs daily from 7-10:30 am - and there's now 20% off with BB+! Make sure to book especially on weekends because it gets busy.

GRAND NASHTA AT NAMAK

DUSIT THANI

The Grand Nashta at Namak is great for Indian food lovers and perfect for anyone looking to discover a different Abu Dhabi breakfast experience. It only runs on Sunday but it’s worth booking ahead for: it’s a real event. Enjoy this unlimited offering with live cooking stations featuring everything from pani puri to gulab jamun, amazing traditional drinks, and plenty of chutneys and toppings to really bring that flavour up.  There’s a reason Namak is Michelin selected: the standard of food is incredible here!

It’s buy one get one for the first 40 guests and 30% off for everyone after that - it’s a massive bargain and one of the best breakfast deals in Abu Dhabi.

TASHAS

AL BATEEN

For many Abu Dhabians, Tashas is as close to a breakfast ‘just like home’ as you can possibly get. The ambiance is lovely - the outdoor area affords views of the Al Bateen Marina, the trees make the whole thing relaxing and the staff are absolutely on point, able to give recommendations and make conversation - what more do you need?

Food wise, the hazelnuts in the acai bowl elevate it to something beyond delicious - why do we always feel like we’re eating Nutella with these nuts? -  the brioche French toast is superb with crispiness outside and a well-soaked inside. For anyone who loves a big breakfast, the breakfast bun is a triumph: other places have tried to emulate this bun and all have failed! Finally, for those who know that breakfast isn’t complete without an egg, the St Francis is your man: with scrambled eggs, goat cheese, cherry & sundried tomatoes in a basil pesto dressing it’s absolutely delicious.

We think the vibe at Tashas is completely on point and the kind of thing that other places should be striving for - it's definitely one of the best breakfast experiences in Abu Dhabi.

THE LIGHTHOUSE

YAS BAY WATERFRONT

For a more upscale weekend or weekday breakfast with a view, The Lighthouse is a great idea.

We like the muhammara eggs, a rich, hearty breakfast dish that will sort out any morning hunger pangs (AED57) and the avocado toast, while being more expensive than many options at AED68, is absolutely beautiful on labneh and sourdough, as is the eggs Benedict (AED79).

If you fancy something sweet, the pancakes with Chantilly cream (AED50) and the even more delectable banana bread with clotted cream (AED40) are must tries!

BELLA VITA

KHALIFA CITY

What’s not to love about Bella Vita’s breakfast menu? Available from 9AM until 3.30PM (a big tick for the late risers among us, or those that want to eat breakfast food well into the afternoon), you really are spoilt for choice: from all the breakfast classics, like Bella Vita Eggs Benedict (AED45 with a fresh juice) or Make-Your-Own Omelet (AED48 with a hash brown, beaked beans and garden salad), to chef signatures, healthy choices, family share options and bakery specials from the wood fire oven.

Sweet breakfast fans, try the Dubai Trend Crepe (AED54) - thin crepes stuffed with fine pistachio and kunafa dough - or Cream Brule Toast (AED45). Outdoor seating makes for a lovely spot during winter, while the interiors are chic and inviting all year round. The Khalifa City location makes them a popular choice on that side of town, but it’s worth the drive if you’re out of the neighbourhood too!

JONES THE GROCER

AL MAMOURA | AL RAHA | AL KHALIDYA | AL MUNEERA

With locations across the city, Jones the Grocer is a go-to for breakfast lovers. Their laidback approach and excellent coffee have won them plenty of fans, and the breakfast menu is no exception.

While there are zero bad choices on the menu, we can’t go past the Merguez Brekkie Burger (AED69) - lightly spiced and juicy, it’s filling and a repeat order for sure - and the Eggs Benny (AED66), with perfectly silky hollandaise, just the right amount of tang  and gorgeous toasted brioche. Pay homage to the restaurant’s Aussie roots and order Jones Avocado Toast (AED59) or a light and bright Coconut Granola Bowl (AED62) - yum! If you’re in recovery mode - or celebration mode - you can enjoy a mimosa, bloody Mary or Aperol spritz with your breakfast. Cheers to that!

Timing: breakfast daily until 12PM | weekends until 4PM

TAPARELLE

MANARAT AL SAADIYAT

Bored with your usual breakfast spots? Taparelle does breakfast with a French twist every day from 7.30AM - and the food is interesting, fresh and beautiful.

Choose a bread or salad, eggs or a gorgeous potato fritter-like beauty, and an extra for AED65 or order stand-alone items.

We love the omelette with a great sausage, the tartines (especially the burrata pesto tomatoes!), the avocado with a brioche and delectable Iberico beef (AED45) and the house made brioche and croissant with home made jam! And for a splurge, the French toast (AED42) is incredible.

It’s lovely in the garden under the trees and there’s a little lawn for kids to play on. With the birds singing and the great soundtrack playing, this is a good way to start your day.
