Afternoon Teas In Abu Dhabi

Best for high tea

High tea at Level 45, Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers offers a full high tea experience.  With astounding views out to sea or over the city from the 45th floor, white gloved service and superb food and drink, this is one of the best high teas in Abu Dhabi.  We love the range of sweets and savouries, especially the beautiful lotus cheesecake and the cured roast beef roll and the drinks on offer really elevate this already high tea! Best for affordability

There are a couple of really good value afternoon teas in Abu Dhabi and Cafe 302’s is a fine example. Enjoy sandwiches, good scones and pastries, and even some vegan options on request for well under AED100. 

The most reasonable of all is the tea at C.Deli at Centro Al Manhal. It’s fairly no-frills but starts early enough in the day to call it lunch and includes coffee and tea, sandwiches, sweets and pastries. It’s worth checking out!

Best for views

In an Abu Dhabi winter, afternoon tea on the terrace at Osmo, Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island is a great option. The views over the palm treed courtyard and across Yas Bay are beautiful and afford just the kind of relaxation you need when having afternoon tea. The sweets and savouries are beautifully presented and their seasonal offerings are excellent. This is one to add to your list!

Best for bubbles

If you’re celebrating,  there’s no better way  to do it than by adding bubbly to your afternoon tea and Alba at the Ritz-Carlton  Abu Dhabi is the place to do it. The patisserie chef is outstanding and you can expect  extraordinary chocolate options in particular at this tea. This is an upscale afternoon tea, and one that should be on your celebration list. 

Best for something different

The afternoon tea at GALA is a fun twist on the norm. This unlimited version offers Indian sweets alongside vegan and vegetarian savouries and even safe gluten free options. 

Another great option for an afternoon tea with something different is served in the lobby at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.  Enjoy either the classic or Valrhona chocolate Japanese afternoon tea - this is probably Abu Dhabi’s biggest afternoon tea, with so much food on offer you won’t need to eat again!

Best for baby showers

Sama Lobby Lounge at Saadiyat Rotana is a great option for a baby shower afternoon tea as is Osmo Lounge at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island. In both cases, staff go out of their way to make everything run smoothly and provide the best experience for the mum to be including balloons and decorations, personalised service and easy booking.

Best for festive

Nowhere does a festive afternoon tea quite like that in the Lobby Lounge at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. In the shadow of the massive Christmas tree, this tea has both traditional elements (who doesn’t love a slice of proper Christmas cake?!) and modern festive treats like snowy-topped craquelin cream puffs.  With a festive welcome drink to start your experience, this is a festive afternoon tea you don’t want to miss.
