BB+ Menu At Barbossa, Yas Bay

Barbossa’s prime position on the promenade at Yas Bay means that at this time of year, it’s a treat to sit on the terrace, or inside with its stunning decor and nosh on gorgeous Mexican food. And now you can sample Barbossa’s best at with this fabulous BB+ offer.

If you think you might be hungry at the end, think again: portions are huge and we tried them all (for research purposes!) 

Top tip: unless you’re diametrically opposed to it, we suggest you order one thing each, and share.

If you fancy a light start, get the excellent guac and chips, but we started with the sublime mountain of mango salad, with fresh avocado on top. The tuna ceviche tostada sports juicy cubes of fresh tuna, amongst avocado and tomato, with a kick of spice.

We recommend the Barbossa ceviche: slivers of cod with cucumber and a piquant dressing - fresh, light and superb.  If you're in the mood for more of a gutsy appetiser, go for the flautas. These come three to a plate, and are as moreish as it gets. The pollo fritto was also nice, dressed with a delish peanut dressing that almost gives a Thai-esque nod.

You'll be pleased to know, mains are substantial - and you'll definitely want to share!

The fajitas are made great by the good quality steak used and the super sear from the sizzling skillet. The lamb shoulder barbacoa is succulent and so easy to eat (an absolute ton of protein in this dish!), with a generous amount of sliced avocado on top. The sea bass fillet is large but light and great for a fish hit, while the tacos (4!) are going to fill up even the hungriest person - we love the fried chicken!

Drinks are excellent: we tried a couple of the margarita options, and these plus house beer, wine, prosecco and all house pours are included in this deal.
