The Vivo business lunch is an amazing deal: start with miso soup, enjoy a choice of 2 small plates and add 1 large plate to finish for AED169 - it’s a definite crowd pleaser. The menu is vast and varied - chicken taquitos and Australian Angus tenderloin join Japanese favourites - you don’t have to love sushi to enjoy the food here, although the sushi is incredible! With sensational views across the Palm and service that’s attentive without being overbearing, this is a winner.

Best for: trying something new

A tranquil sanctuary in the heart of the city, the modern Eugène Eugène offers deals to satisfy every appetite and budget. You can choose from starter, main, dessert for AED125, starter and main for AED110 or main and dessert for AED100. The menu is small but balanced - a fish, meat and vegetarian option is available for each course. We rated the lamb chop for main and the tart of the day for dessert on our last visit. For a taste of fancy French cuisine without the regular price tag, head on in and thank us later.

Best for: dining in an iconic location

Think you need to take out a loan for this treat? Think again: this business lunch brings an incredible opportunity to dine in the iconic Burj Al Arab restaurant for just AED195. You won’t leave hungry, tucking in to two starters, a main and a dessert from the Mediterranean-inspired menu. Featuring lots of choice for starters and four well-crafted mains - including seafood, chicken and a pasta dish - it’s a treat. We love the prawns to start, and the red snapper main was delicious. It’s such a beautiful setting and the service is fantastic: the experience really does feel special.
